Aspen House Invites the Community to May 1 Groundbreaking

By Keena Carstensen

A dream that has been quietly growing in our community for more than 10 years is finally becoming a reality.

Through our community’s unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in our mission, we are creating a safe, supportive home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

On May 1, Tim Brown will bring in the big equipment and we will officially break ground on Aspen House — a home built with love, determination, and the support of this incredible community.

We invite you to share this monumental moment with us on Friday, May 1, at 5:30pm at our lot, 2079 Vista Blvd., as the first shovels — and excavator scoops — of dirt are lifted for the official groundbreaking of Aspen House.

We will be on hand to answer questions about the building and the future of Aspen House, and, of course, we will have sweet treats to help celebrate this exciting milestone together.
Parking on Vista Boulevard is very limited, please park on the east side and do not block the right of way.

Please consider using our shuttle starting at 4:30pm to safely reach the site by 5:30pm for the celebration. Shuttle pickups will run every 15 minutes from the Our Community Eats parking lot, Boss Hoggs, First Southwest Bank and Veterans Memorial Park.

Please RSVP to Keena Carstensen at admin@aspenhousepagosa.org so we can plan accordingly for the event.

We are truly excited to share this moment with everyone who has so passionately supported Aspen House and helped bring this dream to life.
