Inaugural St. Patrick’s Day ‘Pub Crawl’ Announces Safe Ride Sponsor

Downtown Pagosa Springs is going green this St. Patrick’s Day with the launch of the Inaugural Pagosa Pub Crawl on Tuesday, March 17 starting at 3:00pm – a festive, self-guided celebration of local restaurants, bars, and good Irish cheer – paired with a strong focus on community safety.

Event organizers are excited to announce Wilderness Journeys Pagosa Charter Services as the official Pagosa Pub Crawl Safe Ride Sponsor. Wilderness Journeys will provide complimentary rides home for wristbanded Pub Crawlers within the designated Safe Ride service area from 7:30pm to 11:30pm, helping participants celebrate responsibly and return home safely.

And a big thanks to our sponsors: The Bootlegger, and CatDash Delivery Service.

“St. Patrick’s Day is known for festive celebrations, and making sure Crawlers have an option to get home safely is incredibly important to the venues involved,” Pub Crawl producer Jen Tuggle said. “We’re grateful to Wilderness Journeys for helping us make safety a central part of the event.”

How to Join the Crawl
To participate in the Pub Crawl, attendees must check in to receive their official wristband, venue map, Safe Ride details, and entry opportunities for gift basket drawings.

Pub Crawl Check-In: March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) 3:00 – 8:00pm at The Bootlegger, 511 San Juan St.

Crawlers are encouraged to wear their most festive Irish attire and bring a valid ID for check-in.

At check-in, participants can:

  • Pick up their official Pub Crawl wristband
  • Receive the venue map and Safe Ride program details
  • Purchase limited-edition Inaugural Pub Crawl T-shirts (proceeds benefiting Pagosa Community Initiative)
  • Enjoy The Bootlegger’s complimentary Pub Crawl tasting of Irish Espresso Martinis and Irish Car Bombs
  • Earn their 1st Lucky Draw entry for impressive gift basket prizes sponsored by local Pagosa businesses. Crawlers can earn two Lucky Draw entries at each participating venue — one entry for checking in while wearing your Pub Crawl wristband (no purchase required)… and one entry for posting a photo on social media, tagging the venue and using the hashtag #pagosapubcrawl

Gift basket winners will be drawn Wednesday morning. Winners may claim their gift baskets at The Bootlegger.

Participating Venues & Crawl Times
The Pagosa Pub Crawl is self-guided, allowing participants to visit venues in any order. Because some venues are offering specials for limited hours, crawlers are encouraged to check venue Crawl Times and plan their route accordingly.  Participating venues include:

The venues have created special St. Patrick’s Day food and drink features for the crawl.

Safe Ride Program
The Pagosa Pub Crawl Safe Ride Program, sponsored by Wilderness Journeys Pagosa Charter Services, will operate 7:30 – 11:30pm for wristbanded participants traveling within the designated service area – a 13-square-mile sector for this inaugural year. (Looking ahead, St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl organizers plan to grow the Safe Ride Program with an expanded service area, shuttle connections to designated parking lots and local lodging, and a convenient loop linking uptown and downtown venues.)  The organizers encourage all crawlers to celebrate responsibly and take advantage of the free Safe Ride Program.

A Toast to Community
With festive attire, holiday-themed specials, and a focus on safe celebration, the Inaugural Pagosa Pub Crawl aims to bring the community together while supporting local businesses. So grab your green, gather your friends, and raise a glass to St. Patrick’s Day in Pagosa Springs—where the luck of the Irish meets mountain-town hospitality.

Just remember: crawl smart, ride safe, and may the road rise up to meet you on the way home.
