The Pagosa Nordic Club hosted the annual Red Ryder BB Gun Biathlon Nordic Ski races on Saturday, January 17, at Alberta Park Nordic trails located at Wolf Creek Ski Area.
A big thank you to the ski area for grooming the racecourse for the race. This event is a super fun race for all ages and abilities, where Nordic skiers shoot at targets with BB guns between ski laps for their final score. Following are the top finishers for each race category.
12km male skate ski: First place Caley Fretz (Durango), second Brett Wilson (Durango) and third Nick McKey (Durango).
12km female skate ski: First place Michelle Wilson (Durango) and second Gina Basse with 1.5-year-old Lark in tow (Pagosa).
12km female classic ski: First place Kim Kosciusko (Creede).
4km male skate ski: First place Dominic Schiavone (Durango), second Jeff Dinger (Durango) and third Chris Chaput (Telluride).
4km female skate ski: First place Sage Wilson (Durango), second Amy Chaput (Telluride) and third Allison Dinger (Durango).
4km male classic ski: First place Andy Spall (Pagosa), second Eryc Mischker (Durango) and third Thomas Grizincic (Durango).
4km female classic ski: First place Jen Spall (Pagosa), second Laura Colbert (Telluride) and third Allison Dinger (Durango).
Kid K top finishers include: Nicolas Dinger, Willa Waring, Juniper Wilson, Rufu Mischker, Ralph Mischker and Yarrow Wilson.
