The Archuleta County Democratic Club will meet for lunch on Monday, January 26 at 11:30am at Coyote Moon, 120 Piedra Road.
The presenter, Judy Patton will be talking about PIRAC — Proponents of Immigrant Rights in Archuleta County — who they are, what they do, and why their work matters right now in this community.
PIRAC exists for a simple but urgent reason: Our immigrant neighbors are not abstract policy debates. They are families. They are workers. They are parents of our children’s classmates. They are people who belong here. Our laws and constitution define the rights immigrants possess.
Plan to attend this meeting to learn about these rights.
The Archuleta County Democratic Club meets every month. The Club gives local Democrats the opportunity to meet with other Democrats, to hear speakers from the community, to meet candidates for local and national offices, and to hear about topics of timely interest. All are welcome to attend. Please plan to come by 11:30 to order lunch. The speaker’s presentation will begin at noon. Having cash will facilitate ordering.
