CHAMBER NEWS: Nominations Open for 2026 Community Leader Awards

I want to take a moment to say ‘Merry Christmas’ from the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your 20205 histories, and we look forward to celebrating a great 2026 with each of you!

The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its annual awards, recognizing outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations that have made a significant impact in the community.
The Volunteer of the Year award celebrates those who have unselfishly given their time, money, or both to community events and non-profits, expecting nothing in return. Nominees must demonstrate humility and have achieved measurable results for the community. Nominations will be judged on the weight of their contributions, not the number of forms submitted, and are open to individuals or couples.

The Citizen of the Year award honors residents who have contributed in special ways to the community, showing leadership, integrity, and unselfish support. Nominees must have lived in the area for at least three years and have made an impact in areas such as economic, cultural, philanthropic, or lifestyle improvements. Civic involvement outside of work or business is a key criterion.

For the Non-Profit of the Year award, organizations must be a viable 501c3 operating in Pagosa Springs or Archuleta County for at least three years. They must provide a necessary service, serve the community with distinction, and maintain a positive image. Collaborative efforts with other non-profits and unique contributions to the community are highly valued.

The Small Business of the Year award is open to businesses with 20 or fewer full-time employees that have operated in the area for at least three years. Qualities considered include a reputable business image, friendly service, support for the local community, and evidence of growth and creativity. Chamber membership is required.

All nominations are due by Monday, January 12, 2026. Please help us recognize those who have made a difference in our community.

Winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony on February 6, 2026.
