Beyond the fun, this evening supports a vital cause. ASI is dedicated to building an age-friendly, independent, and resilient community for those 60+. Our programs provide nutrition, education, socialization, and medical monitoring to local seniors – many of whom live on fixed incomes.
Just a glimpse of our impact:
- Over 17,000+ meals provided yearly
- Dining 5 days/week at the Pagosa Senior Center
- Drive thru/grab and go meals plus Meals on Wheels delivery for 40+ homebound seniors
- Frozen meals available for weekends
- Over 200 classes/educational opportunities offered yearly
- Low cost medical monitoring for qualified seniors
Providing nutritional meals, sometimes the only nutritional meal our clients may have all week, comes at a cost.
- Actual cost per meal: $12.00
- Requested donation per meal: $6.00
- Average donation received: $3.50
That gap is where your support makes all the difference. While ASI receives some county and grant funding, community contributions are essential to sustaining programs like Meals on Wheels, congregate dining at the Pagosa Senior Center, and fresh vegetable boxes for seniors in need.
We’d love for you to join us for this memorable evening and help ensure our seniors stay nourished, connected, and independent.
