Laura Moore to Star in Thingamajig Theatre’s ‘Master Class’, Opening Sept. 26

Thingamajig Theatre Company lifts the curtain on its 2025–26 Winter Season with Terrence McNally’s Tony Award–winning ‘Master Class’. Opening night arrives Friday, September 26 at 7pm and brings with it a Champagne toast and a unique opportunity to join the cast and creative team for a post-show conversation.

This is no marathon run. ‘Master Class’ appears only a few weekends through November 16 — blink and you may miss it. The dates fall September 26–27, October 10–11 and 17–18, and November 8–9 and 15–16. Savvy theatergoers know that a performance this limited rewards decisiveness: don’t wait until winter deepens to secure a seat.

At the center of ‘Master Class’ is Maria Callas — not the operatic voice of legend, but the woman herself, teaching, remembering, and cutting to the quick with an honesty as bracing as champagne. Played here by Laura Moore, Callas dominates the stage, her every recollection doubling as a confession. She is accompanied by Dale Scrivener as the long-suffering pianist Manny, while Ellie O’Hara, Samantha Luck, and Trevor Brown embody the eager young singers who brave her critiques. Scott Morehead plays the Stagehand who, like the audience, witnesses both the comedy and the heartbreak. The production is directed by Artistic Director Tim Moore.

‘Master Class’ is only the beginning. December brings a fresh staging of ‘A Christmas Carol’ (Barlow version), filled with holiday spirit from December 12 through 27. In January, Yasmina Reza’s sharp-eyed comedy ‘Art’ steps into the spotlight, playing January 23 through March 15, 2026. Together the three works create a season that balances grandeur, tradition, and wit.

Season tickets are on sale now, offering the best value and guaranteed access to every production in the lineup. To reserve, call 970.731.SHOW (7469), visit pagosacenter.org, or email info@pagosacenter.org.
