The Bands:
Fayuca
Pheonix, Arizona based Fayuca, is a Reggae-Rock/Latin group, fronted by founding member, Gabo Fayuca. Their sound shifts through genres while blending modern reggae melodies with Latin percussion, tied seamlessly by razor guitar riffs and progressive rock breakdowns.
Their music has been featured on MTV, Univision, Fox Sports, and other popular TV Networks. Fayuca’s instrumental, La Venganza, was hand-picked by movie director Robert Rodriguez to be used as the main title theme to El Rey Network’s original series, MATADOR. Touring insatiably between writing and recording music, Fayuca strives to inspire people around the world by spreading a message of courage, love, and empowerment.
Green Buddha
Est. 2015, Green Buddha is Colorado’s original NoCoast Reggae Rockers. Green Buddha’s unique original sound mixes influences from reggae, funk, ska, and New Orleans soul. What some have argued as Colorado’s best live Reggae Rock Band, Green Buddha delivers a blistering live performance experience full of original songs that continue to captivate the hearts and minds of concertgoers. After nearly 10 years on the scene, Green Buddha is arguably Colorado’s best live Reggae Rock band right now, in terms of both popularity and longevity. The band’s ability to adapt themselves to these challenging times, new musical trends, and shifting personnel has ultimately been the driving force behind their unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch live performances.
Future Folk
Future Folk is a retro-futuristic one-man looper band created by Edward Kruse IV, AKA “Cuatro”. Born in neon-soaked 1985 and raised in Durango, CO, Cuatro grew up listening to roots reggae with his Dad, playing video games, exploring nature, and teaching himself how to play guitar and electronic keyboards. With influences spanning from punk rock, 80’s synth-pop, roots reggae, tribal techno, shamanic chants, dub, the Pixies, Pink Floyd, Ween, Jimi Hendrix, and synthwave, to Reggie Watts, DubFX, Mark Rebillet, and modern electronic Euro/steppers reggae, each performance is a unique blend of bass-heavy grooves mixed with a healthy dose of improvisation, making every show one of a kind.
