Attention, high school seniors: The deadline to apply for the Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs’ annual schol- arships is fast approaching.
To request an application or submit a completed one, email megwempe@hotmail.com with the subject line “Rotary Scholarship.” Or visit this website.
Applications must be submitted by 4pm on March 17, so don’t miss your chance to secure funding for your education.
Each year, Rotary awards scholarships to deserving students, with total funding typically exceeding $20,000 annually. Since the program began, we’ve awarded $564,000 to 201 graduates, and we’re excited to continue this tradition in 2025. These scholarships are open to seniors from Pagosa Springs High School, GOAL Academy, Pagosa Valor Academy, San Juan Mountain School, home-school students and those earning a GED by spring.
Whether you’re heading to a four-year college, university or vocational school, there’s a scholarship opportunity for you.
Separate applications are available for traditional college-bound students and those pursuing vocational education.
Applications have been distributed at Pagosa Springs High School, San Juan Mountain School, Pagosa Valor Academy and GOAL Academy. If you don’t attend these schools, you can request an application via email.
Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, personal interviews, letters of recommendation, a personal essay and resume quality.
The Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs, established in 1979, is a dedicated community service organization with more than 80 active members. Our scholarships are funded through generous contributions from businesses, individuals and fundraising events, including the annual Jewels and Jeans Barn Dance each October.
