Archuleta County Thanks BWD and Perfect Parking, for Pothole Repairs

Archuleta County would like to publicly thank BWD and Perfect Parking for taking the initiative to fill several potholes at the Country Center/City Market shopping center, near both the Talisman and North Pagosa entrances.

“My heartfelt thanks go to BWD and Perfect Parking for stepping up to support the Country Center’s businesses, and the community,” commented Archuleta County Commissioner Veronica Medina.

The County also wishes to acknowledge the seriousness of a permanent solution for both residents and tourists alike. County Manager Jack Harper II explained the area of concern is owned by seven different private property owners and is a private drive where neither the County nor the Town have jurisdiction. “The County is aware of the potholes and is actively working with the Town towards a joint solution,” commented Harper.

Several comments and statements could be seen on social media after BWD posted live feed of the project on their Instagram and called for action from community members.

“The safety and well-being of our community remain a top priority,” stated Medina. “I have been actively engaging with the Town to explore collaborative solutions for addressing the safety concerns posed by potholes on privately owned drives. These issues require a permanent fix to ensure the safety of all residents.”

Archuleta County will continue to keep residents updated on any future discussions regarding this matter, and again wishes to thank all those involved in Friday’s pothole filling, which made for a safer and smoother drive through two major intersections in our town.
