GOAL High School has been honored as a Microsoft Showcase School for the sixth consecutive year, highlighting its innovative use of educational technology. Established in 2007 and headquartered in Pueblo, Colorado, GOAL is an online public charter school that combines online curriculum with in-person support.
CEO Constance Jones, PhD, and over 600 employees are dedicated to developing productive members of society through technology.
Showcase Schools are led by visionary leaders who empower educators and students to re-imagine education. Chief Information Officer Jamie Trujillo states, “Being recognized for the sixth year is a testament to our staff’s dedication to student success. It reflects our commitment to engaging students creatively while embracing their diversity.”
In 2023, only 39 schools in America and 300 worldwide received this honor. GOAL staff benefit from this status by becoming Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts, mastering creative technology in their teaching practices. Dr. Jones emphasizes, “Our goal is to help students graduate and become responsible digital citizens. Our partnership with Microsoft provides high-quality learning opportunities and skill development for the 21st century.”
GOAL Academy High School is a statewide, multi-district charter school authorized by District 49. GOAL is a Microsoft Showcase School and provides online curriculum with in-person support at 38 student drop-in centers across Colorado. Students can take college courses for free, earn career and technical certifications and receive excellent social and emotional support. GOAL strives to help all students achieve their full potential in a caring, supportive and personalized environment. In turn, students become productive members of society.
