CHAMBER NEWS: Digital Marketing Classes Offered in August

The Chamber of Commerce will be offering 3 days of Digital Marketing classes, August 12, 13, and 14 both in the morning and afternoon.

Elevating Your Digital Marketing Skills classes will last about 1-1 ½ hours. They are free for Chamber members and only $25 per class for non-members.

Along with attending a class, participants are also invited to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with the facilitators on any of the training days. You do not have to schedule your consultation on the same day as your training class.

Registration for the classes is online, here, or you can connect to it through the Chamber’s homepage. The first day – Bigger – is all about websites, your Google Business Profile (GBP) page, search engine optimization and more. The second day – Better – focuses on social media marketing including reels, videos, Google ads and new rules. The last and third day – Bolder – delves into AI and Chat GPT. A scary topic for many, but a new timesaving and development skill for many businesses. Get over your fear of using this tool and dip your feet into the AI waters.

If you would like to schedule a consultation appointment, you will need to call the Chamber at (970) 264-2360 and schedule an appointment. These consultations cannot be booked online; only the class registration can be booked online. Should you have any questions, contact the Chamber offices. These classes are being offered due to the high demand from the public for these types of training. Space is limited and certain classes are already filling up. Register now for your chance to elevate your marketing skills.

CDL Training Offered in Pagosa August 6 & 7
The Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation is offering two one-day Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training classes in Pagosa Springs. You can sign up for either the 6th or 7th of August. The training includes the one-day, all day classroom fee, behind the wheel training, and the driving skills test fee. This is typically an expensive course due to the nature of the material and skills required for the job. However, the payoff of a good-paying job and the ability to receive some tuition assistance for this class makes this offering highly valuable. The cost of the course is $5,000, but again, tuition assistance may be available. To find out if you qualify for the assistance, contact the CDC offices at (970) 264-3023 or emily@pagosaspringscdc.org.
