League of Women Voters Program Will Highlight Health Care in Colorado

Archuleta League of Women Voters, a non-partisan, non-profit, education and advocacy organization, is pleased to announce a presentation of “Affordable and Comprehensive Health Care for ALL Coloradans” on Tuesday March 24, 5:30pm at Community United Methodist Church, 434 Lewis Street.

The program will cover a Colorado School of Public Health study related to a new Colorado law (SB25-045 May 2025) looking at a single non-profit, publicly financed, privately delivered comprehensive healthcare system.

The study has been funded and will evaluate how comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, vision, hearing, drugs, psychiatric care
and long-term care) can be brought to Coloradans, with no deductibles, no co-pays and based on households’ ability to pay.

Speakers will include:

Eileen Monyok, Board of Colorado Healthcare Coalition: “What will healthcare study entail and how will it help Coloradans”

Robert Hagberg MD, Colorado Heathcare Coalition: “How Would a Single Payer System change our current system” and “Experience with New Zealand’s Single Payer Universal Healthcare System”
