Episcopal Church to Hold Observations for Ash Wednesday

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church invites you to join in an observation of Ash Wednesday, a day of return, lament and gratitude, as we gather for services on Wednesday February 18 at noon (without communion) and 6pm (with communion).

In addition to our meetings for worship, the community is warmly welcomed to join in two additional opportunities to mark Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the season of Lent.

From 8:30 to 9:30am, clergy from St. Patrick’s will be at the corner of Pagosa Street and Hot Springs Bouelvard to offer prayer and a sidewalk imposition of ashes as you go on your way.

From 4:30 to 5:30pm, all are welcome to join in a “Drumming our Lament” gathering as we express our grief, lament and longing for change together while hand drumming. Bring a hand drum if you have one; come even if you don’t, as no experience is required.

If there is interest, we may coordinate a regular gathering for drumming together through the season of Lent.
