The Pagosa Springs Area Tourism Board has officially opened the 2026 Event Funding Application process, adopting several important updates to the funding process during its recent meeting. These changes are designed to streamline the application experience, encourage broader participation, and ensure continued support for high-quality community events that enhance Pagosa Springs’ tourism economy.
For 2026, all previous funding criteria have been removed. Existing and new events will now be evaluated equally, with the Board placing strong emphasis on supporting well-organized, professional, and thoughtfully executed events. Applicants are encouraged to provide detailed responses throughout the application to help the Board accurately assess each proposal.
As part of the updated process, the Tourism Board will review funding requests on a quarterly schedule. Application deadlines and corresponding review dates for 2026 are as follows:
December 31, 2025 — for consideration at the January 14, 2026 Tourism Board meeting
March 20, 2026 — for consideration at the April 8, 2026 meeting
Additional quarterly deadlines will be announced later in the year.
