Voting Open for 2025 Chamber Board of Director Nominees

The slate of Chamber member candidates for the 2025 Chamber Board of Directors is now open to Chamber member businesses. This voting process takes place annually at this time of year. Every year, the Chamber presents six candidates to be elected to the Chamber Board of Directors for a three-year term. Of these six candidates, three are chosen by the membership to serve. The voting will be open to membership businesses until Friday, January 17, 2025.

Each chamber member will be allowed one ballot. They will be allowed to vote for up to three candidates. Should the member business vote for more than three candidates, their vote will be nullified. Should the member business vote more than once, any ballots after the initial ballot will be disqualified. However, should you have more than one business registered as a chamber member, each business will be allowed one ballot vote.

The chamber seeks to have a variety of businesses represented on the board, as different businesses have different needs and opinions. This year’s candidates represent a variety of business interests. The candidates are:

Elizabeth Brewer, co-owner of Sage

Christina Gonzales, branch manager for RG Bank

Austin Marchand, owner of Rocky Mountain Balloon Adventures

Cindy Nobles, office manager for Build Pagosa

Tom Sottek, Director of People & Culture at The Springs Resort

Rebecca Tenpenny, Executive Director for Pagosa Community Initiative.

The members cycling off the chamber board this year will be Kirk Bliss, co- owner of Rosie’s Pizzeria; Dallas Weaver, co-owner of FootPrints; and Jenneye Shugar, owner of Colorado Lockstar. We appreciate the 3 years of service they have given to this organization through their business savvy and their volunteerism. Dallas Weaver was also the Chamber’s representative to the Tourism Advisory Board.

Remaining on the board will be Billy Cotts, co-owner of ReSport and Stitches and Dimples; Kirsten Derr, optometrist with Mountain Eye Care, Patricia Lewis, Marketing VP with TBK Bank; Ricardo Martinez, individual member; Annie Sewell, owner of Right Molecule IV Hydration Lounge, and Davilyn Valdez, co-owner of The Last Resort on the River.

We hope that the membership will take just a few minutes to elect three of the six candidates into board service. We appreciate all the candidates putting themselves “out there” and running for the board and the commitment they have offered to the organization and the community.
