I watched a video online, of President-elect Donald Trump, praising Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at a rally in New York.
“Robert F. Kennedy cares more about human beings, and health, and the environment than anybody…”
That’s not actually true.
Actually, I care more about human beings, health and the environment than RFK Jr. does. But President-elect Trump doesn’t know know me… we’ve never met… and he can’t know how much I care about those things. So I can understand why he gives the credit to RFK Jr.
I will also mention that I don’t have a “Jr.” in my name. I think that’s another point in my favor.
During the same speech, President-elect Trump said this about RFK Jr.:
“Having him is such a great honor. I’ve been a friend of his for a long time. And I’m going to let him go wild on health. I’m going to let him go wild on the food. I’m going to let him go wild on medicines.
“The only thing I don’t think I’m going to let him get near is the liquid gold we have under our feet.”
He addressed his next comment to a couple of other friends of his, sitting on the stage with him.
“I don’t know, Elon; he might not like liquid gold. Oil and gas… JD, I think we’re going to have to keep him away from the oil and gas. Whadda you think?”
I agree. RFK Jr. built his public image as an environmental activist and crusader by taking polluters to court.
So let’s keep RFK Jr. away from the oil and gas.
But not too far away. We don’t want to bankrupt him. While running as an independent presidential candidate, he filed a financial disclosure form and reported earnings from Arctic Royalty Limited Partnership, which leases land for oil and gas extraction in Oklahoma, Texas and other states. Arctic Royalty leases land to multiple companies that have been fined for pollution and regulatory infractions, as well as to the chemical subsidiary of the company that polluted East Palestine, Ohio, in the trail derailment last year.
I will note that I don’t own shares in any liquid gold companies. Which is one reason why I can claim to care more about the environment than RFK Jr. does. There are many additional reasons. Too many to count, really.
I will also clearly state that, if I were appointed as Secretary of Health and Human Services, I would definitely not go wild on health, medicines or the foods.
Maybe on the vaccines, I would go wild. We can all agree, I think, that vaccines are out of control, mainly because the federal government has protected the vaccine companies from all liability, even when they are putting mercury in the vaccines.
It’s bad enough to inject mercury into old people. They’re probably going to become senile soon enough, regardless. But injecting mercury into children is a downright sin.
At one point, in the not too distant past, RFK Jr. said he would — if elected President — ban fracking. So Trump doesn’t want RFK Jr. anywhere near oil and gas regulations. But he says he’s okay with RFK Jr. going wild on the foods.
If I were President-elect Trump, I would be really careful about turning RFK Jr. loose on the foods. There’s a lot of foods that Donald Trump likes to eat that could be outlawed. Like Big Macs. HHS could easily outlaw Big Macs, while Trump and Elon and JD were looking the other way, busy dealing with liquid gold.
Trump is known to be a fan of Big Macs. Elon and JD might also be fans?
Both RFK Jr. and I avoid them, the same way we avoid vaccines.
Wild men that we are.
