Return of the Aspen House Color Run This Weekend

Aspen House is excited to announce the return of the highly anticipated Aspen House Color Run/Walk 5K, set to take place this Saturday, September 21 during ColorFest weekend.

This vibrant and fun-filled event is a celebration of community, fitness and color, drawing participants from across the region for an unforgettable experience in the heart of the San Juan Mountains.

The Color Run, known for its playful atmosphere and burst of color at every kilometer, is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a colorful day outdoors, this event offers something for everyone.

The event will kick off at 8am at Yamaguchi Park, and participants will find themselves showered in a spectrum of colors as they make their way through the scenic route, creating a truly unique and joyful experience.

Beyond the race itself, the Aspen House Color Run is a cornerstone event of the annual ColorFest Weekend, a beloved tradition in Pagosa Springs that includes hot air balloon launches, live music and food festivals.

Proceeds from the Aspen House Color Run/Walk will directly support a vital cause — raising funds to build Aspen House in Pagosa Springs. This new facility will provide essential housing and services for adults with developmental disabilities in Archuleta County.

By participating in this event, attendees are not only embracing a day of fun and fitness, but also contributing to a cause that will have a lasting, positive impact on the local community.

Registration is now open, and those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up online to secure their spot in this colorful celebration.
