Pagosa Springs is renowned for its vibrant art community, and there’s no better way to experience this than by joining the upcoming Pagosa Springs Artists Studio Tour. Now in its second year, this event promises to be even more exciting and enriching.

Mark your calendars for August 23-25, 2024, and get ready for three days of artistic exploration from 10am to 5pm daily.

This unique, free, self-guided tour invites you into the creative spaces where local art comes to life. Over 30 talented local artists will open their studio doors to the public, giving you a rare glimpse into their workspaces and artistic processes. Whether you’re an art aficionado or simply curious about the local art scene, this tour offers something for everyone.

To help you navigate the tour, you can use the interactive online map available on the Tour’s website, studiotourpagosa.com. This digital map can be accessed on your phone, making it easy to locate each studio as you explore.

Alternatively, you can pick up printed maps at several convenient locations around Pagosa Springs:

The artists participating in the tour work in a wide variety of mediums, showcasing the rich diversity of the Pagosa Springs art community. You’ll encounter ceramics, painting, photography, leatherwork, sculpture, mosaics, fabric art, glass, resin cast, metal fabrication, beadwork, handmade furniture, jewelry, mixed media, weaving, glass blowing, and Colorado-specific crafts like wood-carved bears and handcrafted fly rods.

Each artist is eager to share their passion and craftsmanship with visitors. Many will have their works available for purchase, so you might just find the perfect piece to take home.

With three days to enjoy the tour, you can leisurely visit more studios and immerse yourself fully in the artistic atmosphere. Take your time to appreciate each artist’s work, engage in conversations about their creative process, and perhaps even get a behind-the-scenes look at how your favorite pieces are made.
