As state Rep. Gabe Evans continued his hypocritical and unwarranted attacks on Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, ProgressNow Colorado, the state’s largest multi-issue progressive advocacy organization, is calling on Evans to stand down on his attacks against Secretary Griswold and stand up to the extremists in his party who are harassing and even making threats against her for the “crime” of doing her job.
The harassment and threats against Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold must stop, and politicians who are hypocritically fanning the flames of extremism for political gain must stop putting their colleagues in danger.
Gabe Evans knows that Secretary Griswold carried out her duties lawfully as a defendant in the Trump v. Anderson case, and Evans knows the impeachment resolution against her is a sham. Instead of adding to the false allegations that have resulted in threats of violence, and equivocating on whether the 2020 presidential election was stolen, Evans needs to repudiate without any caveats the ‘Big Lie.’
If Evans can’t tell the truth, he has no business representing Colorado’s most politically competitive congressional district.
