Holiday Market Slated for Nov 4
Archuleta Seniors Inc and Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association have joined forces this year to bring an early season holiday market to Pagosa Springs on Saturday November 4, from 9am to 3pm at the PLPOA Clubhouse at 230 Port Ave.  Join us to kick off the holiday season and boost your holiday spirit and shopping experience.  We will have 30 artisan vendors for your shopping delight featuring handcrafted gifts for your perusal and purchase.  We are still accepting vendors but space is limited.

Dia De Los Muertos Dance Party November 3
Archuleta Seniors, Inc. Invites you to celebrate with us at the Dia De Los Muertos Dance Party on Friday November 3, 2023 from 7 PM to midnight at the CSU Extension Building.  Music y Spanish musica by DJ Marcus Rivas.  Come join us on a day to gather, remember and celebrate our loved ones who went before us.  Tickets are $20 and are available at 451 Hot Springs Blvd at the Pagosa Senior Center, or Pagosa Chamber of Commerce or online at https://givebutter.com/DDLM4ASI  There will be a cash bar and Mexican food by the Guadalupanas. Covid-19 Booster Vaccine & Flu Clinic
Please join us for a drop in clinic performed by SJBPH on Wednesday morning November 8, 2023 from 10am-12noon at the Pagosa Senior Center located in the Ross Aragon Community Center.  Please call us at 970-264-2167 to sign up for the booster/flu clinic so we know how many to plan on the day of the event.

Festival of Trees Help Needed
Archuleta Seniors Inc. is looking for a few community volunteers to join our team this year for the 2023 Festival of Trees event.  We need community members who are enthusiastic and motivated to help us coordinate and decorate the Pagosa Senior Center tree and make it festive and attractive for the tree auction.  Your energy and time will be a significant contribution to the year end fundraising efforts of Archuleta Seniors Inc. ensuring essential nutrition services are provided for the older adults and families of Archuleta County.  In order to volunteer you must be available November 27-29th to help decorate the tree at the Ross Aragon Community Center.  If you are interested please contact us at 970.264.2167.

Healthy Aging & Yoga Therapy Class Series 
Gather with local yoga practitioner AJ Connors  for a series of evidence based healthy aging and yoga therapy classes at the Pagosa Senior Center geared for adults and older adults of all ages. This yoga series promotes healthy aging for individuals with therapeutic classes offering yoga tools and education for strength, resilience, and wellness. Classes are designed to address different aspects of healthy aging and are geared towards accessibility and gentle practice. Class is offered Mondays 2:30 pm-3:30 pm in the dining hall.

Pagosa Springs Scrapbooking Club
The Pagosa Springs Scrapbooking Club holds monthly meetings the second Saturday of each month at the Pagosa Senior Center. This creative tradition has been happening since 2005, started by Melissa Bailey and continued by Kathy Ruth through the years. The group met in the Senior Center dining room until 2020, took a break due to Covid and then resumed meetings in the Community Center. They are truly excited to be meeting in the Senior Center dining area again. They will meet each month from 10:00am – 3:00pm to be creative, share ideas, connect with friends, learn new techniques, share supplies and indulge in a potluck lunch together.

Share Lunch and Dine
Join us at the Silver Fox’s Den aka Community Cafe in person for daily hot/cold meals Mondays through Thursdays downtown at the Ross Aragon Community Center between 11 am and 1 pm weekly.  Pickup is available all week including Fridays.  Our dining hall is open to all ages and welcomes you all with kindness and warmth. For those 60 or older we request a suggested donation of $10.00, but no one will be turned away. There is a $10.00 charge for guests under the age of 60.  Meals include a main course, side dish, fruit/dessert, garden salad plus beverage.

Hand & Foot Card Game 
Whether you are new to Hand & Foot or interested in learning, please join us most Thursdays at 1:15 at the Senior Center.  This card game involves 4 rounds of playing until the final round is reached – some 2 to 3 hours later.  Plan to stay and meet some new friends or catch up with those you have missed over the last couple of years.  No experience is necessary so come willing to learn.
