New Main Street Program Will Provide ‘Facade Improvement Grants’ for Pagosa Springs Properties

Pagosa Springs residents are invited to meet their ‘Main Street Team’ this week, and learn about the new Facade Improvement Grants of up to $2,000.

If you like to know more about the Pagosa Main Street Program and the new Facade Improvement Grant, please join us this Wednesday, August 23, for a Main Street Community Meeting from 5:00 – 6:30pm at the Ross Aragon Community Center. Light refreshments will be served.

The Team wants to give downtown property owners up to $2,000 for facade improvements for their business or building.

Larry Lucas and Gayle Langley from the Colorado Main Street Program/DOLA will be visiting us to share information about the Main Street Program and how this initiative along with Facade Improvements can benefit our entire community. It will also be a great opportunity to meet the Pagosa Springs Main Street Advisory Board members and learn more about the local initiatives.

If you would like some help determining the best updates you can make to your building while still honoring historic preservation, we will be have an opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with Larry Lucas, the Main Street Architect, at your buildings on Thursday morning from 9am – noon.

Applications must be submitted by by September 1, 2023. Your application will be reviewed by the Main Street Facade Improvement Committee and once awarded funding, your project needs to be completed by December 31, 2023. This is a reimbursement grant.
