San Juan Rangers Recruitment Meeting Tomorrow

For those who have thought about becoming a San Juan Ranger, we invite you to join us for a recruitment meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 30, at 6pm at 302 San Juan St.

Today, the mission of the San Juan Rangers is to provide assistance to the people of Pagosa Springs in cooperation with the local police and sheriff agencies.

Our volunteers provide security, traffic and crowd control for local for-profit and nonprofit events, performing duties that would otherwise have to be hired out at a huge expense.

Since 1963 the San Juan Rangers have protected and served Archuleta County by working cooperatively with and under the direction of public officials responsible for emergency management, law enforcement and public safety. Each member swears an oath to uphold the Constitution and laws of Colorado and the United States. Members receive no compensation for assisting with event security, traffic direction, search & rescue, and other related activities at the request of law enforcement, emergency management, civic organizations and event managers.

San Juan Rangers is a Colorado non-profit corporation and funds its operations through community donations.
