Pints, Pools, and Paddles: A Good Time for Good Causes

By Lauren Hawksworth

The Springs Resort is proud to announce the 8th Annual Pints, Pools, and Paddles Craft Brew Fest taking place from Friday, May 12 through Sunday, May 14.

The festival is not just about craft beer, delicious food pairings, and hot springs, but it is also about giving back to the community.

The three-day festival will feature unlimited tastings from 31 regional and highly-favored craft brewers, including a new batch of wellness-focused craft beverages. Moreover, guests can indulge in a Beer, Cheese, and Chocolate Pairing special event offered by Riff Raff Brewing Company. But what makes Pints, Pools & Paddles different from other craft beer festivals is the unique experience of soaking in Pagosa’s geothermal springs while watching the annual whitewater races along the riverfront.

This year, The Springs Resort is excited to support two worthy local causes. The first is Friends of the Upper San Juan River, a Pagosa Springs non-profit organization that promotes environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically prosperous management of The Upper San Juan River and Pagosa Springs’ community parks through education, recreation, and environmental awareness. The Springs Resort has pledged a $1,000 donation to Friends of the Upper San Juan River to support the event and organization initiatives. Additionally, the resort is extending its support by offering all competition participants complimentary soaking passes during the event.

The second cause is The Springs Resort’s donation of event proceeds to a general scholarship fund for students at Pueblo Community College for the second year in a row. This donation provides opportunities and resources for Archuleta County’s future workforce through education. Last year, The Springs Resort donated $1,000 towards a PCC scholarship fund for programs in high need for the future workforce. This year, the resort is taking it a step further by contributing towards a general scholarship fund, allowing more students to access higher education and training programs.

At the Springs Resort, we care for the enhanced well-being of all, and these causes are an embodiment of our noble purpose. We invite everyone to join us for a weekend of fun, relaxation, and community support. So, come and enjoy unlimited tastings of regional craft brewers, indulge in delectable pairings, soak in the hot springs, enhance your social wellness, and support a good cause- or two!

Tickets for the event range from $40 for the private beer, chocolate, and cheese tastings to $110 for the Pints, Pools, and Paddles – Soaking & Beer Tasting package. Local beer and soak-only tickets are available for $80, and craft beer tasting-only tickets are available for $65.
