CHAMBER NEWS: Social Media Training in April

The businesses have been communicating to the Chamber that they would like to receive some educational trainings to help them improve their business acumen. We are working on offering a variety of classes in the upcoming months.

Our first educational series that will be offered will be information on the ever-changing social media landscape. These classes will be held virtually and are free!

First in the series will be Facebook Business pages. This arena has been changing quickly and there is much new information to glean.  Learn why you need a page, setting one up and the new updates for small businesses. This class will be held on Thursday, April 13 from noon until 1pm.

The second class will be Social Media Trends and Organic Reach Tips. Again, there are many changes happening in social media marketing. How do you keep up? Attend and find out upcoming trends and insights, tips for getting more reach from your content, and more. This class will be held on Thursday, April 20 from 6 – 7pm.

Our trainer will be Hilarie Strong, former Chamber Marketing Coordinator now currently handling training for businesses interested in marketing assistance for the Arizona Small Business Development Center in Prescott. We have tried to offer these classes at times when businesses may be able to break for lunch or at the end of the day and are short and concise. Remember, these classes are free.

You can register for the classes through the Chamber’s website at www.pagosachamber.com/event-calendar. Click on the class that you would like to attend. After registering, you will receive a link to the class. (The link to the class will not be available until you register for the event to prevent unwanted attendees.)

Another class that we are still interested in presenting is help with QuickBooks. We are looking at two classes: an introductory class and a more intermediate class where attendees will have one-on-one help with the trainer. We would like to make sure that there are enough attendees to hold both classes. If you are interested in attending either of these QuickBooks classes, please contact Mary Jo at the Chamber at (970) 264-2360 or email your interest to director@pagosachamber.com.
