HMPRESENTLY: Abortions, Too… on the County Commissioners’ Plates?

Dr. Mehmet Oz has said that “women, doctors and local political leaders should decide whether a woman can obtain an abortion,” according to news media.

Imagine, then, one of your local county, or town, political leaders conferring with a pregnant women’s physician, determining a go- or no-go decision, so to speak.

Is that feasible? Considering, for example, how tied up your county’s political leaders probably are, right now, contemplating that Ballot Issue 1A vote. Just that, alone!

Contemplating — and maybe sweating, some — whether voters will actually approve that higher sales tax, they want you all to pay, in perpetuity. So, if 1A passes, they’ll have even more of your tax dollars to spend, perhaps, as they please?

Contemplating and sweating can consume lots of your political leaders’ time.

And then, adding to that, what Dr. Oz has in mind… with his suggestion that local political leaders need to be weighing in on abortions… does Dr. — and political candidate — Mehmet Oz, who’s running to be a political leader himself in Pennsylvania, actually believe local political leaders, like your own in Archuleta County, could possibly fit abortions into their hectic schedule?
