Three More Weeks Left, for Summer Season of ‘Broadway in the Mountains’

With the arrival of the month of August, Thingamajig Theatre’s summer season has only three weeks of shows remaining. Performances run Wednesdays through Sundays until August 24.

Tickets for all shows are available by calling the Box Office at 970-731-SHOW (7469) or visiting the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts website.

“Bright Star” is on stage tomorrow night, Thursday, August 4, at 7pm, and this Sunday, August 7 for a matinee performance at 2pm. Other performances of “Bright Star” in August will be Thursdays, August 11 and 18 at 7pm. The romantic musical drama will take you on an emotional journey set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and telling the life story of the main character, Alice Murphy.

Three Friday evening performances of “Guys and Dolls” are available on August 5, 12 and 19 all at 7pm. A Sunday matinee show is set for August 14 at 2pm and “Guys and Dolls” will close out the season on Wednesday, August 24 at 7pm. The Broadway classic is expertly performed by the talented summer cast filled with rich vocals and exciting dance numbers.

Uplifting and a favorite of all ages, “The SpongeBob Musical” Saturday matinees are August 6, 13 and 20 at 2pm. Two evening performances are scheduled for Wednesdays, August 10 and 17. Based on the Nickelodeon animated series, “The SpongeBob Musical” has become the summer season show adult audiences are returning to see multiple times.

Thingamajig Theatre Company was cofounded in 2011 by Tim and Laura Moore. It is an award-winning professional nonprofit 501(c)(3) theatre in residence within the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. Its talented actors, directors and production teams come from across the U.S. and around the world to produce Broadway-level musicals, comedies and dramas year-round. Thingamajig is also dedicated to providing educational opportunities for youth and teens in our community.
