Thingamajig Theatre is Roaring into July

All three of the Summer Season 2022 shows of Broadway in the Mountains have now opened and will continue in rotation through August 24 at Thingamajig Theatre.

“Guys and Dolls” returned to the stage on July 5 and will have a second performance tonight, Friday, July 8 at 7pm.

“The SpongeBob Musical” will take the stage tomorrow, Saturday, July 9, also at 7pm.

“Bright Star” will have a matinee on Sunday, July 10.

Evening shows begin at 7pm with doors opening at 6pm; matinee shows on Wednesdays and Sundays begin at 2pm with doors to the theatre opening at 1pm.

The Whatchamawhozit Kids Camp at Thingamajig Theatre Company is also underway this week, which means “The Music Man KIDS” performances are just around the corner. Tickets are now on sale for the shows on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17 at 1:00pm and 2:30pm each day.

The Whatchamawhozit camp is in its eleventh summer and taught by the professional actors of the main stage shows. The 7- to 12-year-old camp attendees will be preparing “The Music Man KIDS” under the direction of Tyler Price, a favorite instructor of previous Whatchamawhozit camps and beloved actor of the summer season.

Thingamajig Theatre Company was cofounded in 2011 by Tim and Laura Moore. It is an award-winning professional nonprofit 501(c)(3) theatre in residence within the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. Its talented actors, directors and production teams come from across the U.S. and around the world to produce Broadway-level musicals, comedies and dramas year-round. Thingamajig is also dedicated to providing educational opportunities for youth and teens in our community.
