It was in The Bulwark, a news and opinion website that’s described as ‘center-right,’ which seems better, perhaps, than extreme right.
Because… in our extremely polarized country, are such extreme extremes, all that necessary?
The Bulwark writer, Bill Lueders, mentions the many emails he’s been getting from Donald Trump. The former president wants Mr. Lueders to know how much he values him “as a ‘trusted ally,’” and he’s offering Mr. Lueders “exciting opportunities.”
For instance, the opportunity to contribute $45 so that The Bulwark writer might have an opportunity to have his name “permanently engraved” on the Trump Donor Wall, in the former president’s office.
“Space is extremely limited,” warns the nation’s 45th president. “This could be your only chance.”
Others in Mr. Trump’s inner circle, including his eldest son, Donald Jr., have also emailed “limited-time offers” to Mr. Lueders. In one of them, Don Jr. is promising “priority access to sign his father’s Official Birthday Card before ANYONE ELSE… Can I tell my father you stepped Up?”

Mr. Lueders says he isn’t sure how he got on former President Trump’s email list.
In a post I wrote, in a business-focused online site, I mentioned getting emails, myself, but not from our nation’s former president, or his son. An email I received, the other day, was from the president of a nation thousands of miles from America.
This particular president was deeply concerned that I’d not gotten back to him about the $10 million I was entitled to, a fortune that was being held in some official Trust Account. All I had to do was send several hundred dollars, via a selection of payment options — credit card, wire transfer, even bitcoins — so that processing and delivery could be finalized.
I’ve been hearing, in the news, about fake muckety mucks in distant lands emailing messages like the one I received. You’ve got to be wary of certain emails.
I went on to mention, in the post:
The many emails The Bulwark writer has been getting, you’re probably agreeing, are different… with nothing in them about some big-money windfall, but rather, simply, requests for $45 contributions to America’s 45th POTUS. To get some access to him.
So, all in all — all things — being mindful of unsolicited emails may be good to keep in mind.
