Pagosa Springs Car Show Just Around the Corner

As we race into June, the 13th Annual Pagosa Springs Car Show is just around the corner. Stunning classic cars and motorcycles will take to Lewis St. beginning Friday evening, June 10 at 5pm for the Street Party. The street will be filled with stunning cars, delicious food vendors, beer, wine and crafted cocktails will be available, and live music by the Rob Lowe band will fill the air. Spectators can get their first glimpse of the vehicles as proud owners show off in 16 different classes.

Vehicles can start lining up at 3pm; however, the festivities will not kick off until 5pm. Get out of work and head downtown for an evening of fun and lots of eye candy. The cars will be at the show until 8pm.

Spectators and car entrants should then head over to the Athletic Field in Town Park for a free car-themed movie hosted by the Pagosa Springs Police Department. Enjoy the free movie along with free popcorn, hotdogs and lemonade. The movie will begin at approximately 9pm when it gets dark, and you won’t want to miss this classic movie.

On Saturday, June 11, the Show and Shine begins at 9am. Even more cars and motorcycles will arrive and fill up Lewis St. The live music this day will be performed by Bruce Wayne Classic Rock & Country. Spectators and participants will be able to vote for their favorite car for the People’s Choice award through your phone. There will also be awards for all of the different car classes. The awards ceremony will take place beginning at 2pm. Throughout the day there will also be a kid’s corner – car themed, of course. New this year will also be a costume contest where car participants can dress to match the era of their car. It is a fun and colorful era-themed activity. There will be car show merchandise and vendors in attendance.

There are a few important notices about the Car Show. Lewis Street will be closed off to thru traffic beginning Friday morning, June 10 at 10am and will remain closed until 3pm on Saturday, June 11. Please avoid this area. You can access Lewis St. going east from 4th St. Also, the Lewis Street Alley will also remain open. Dogs are allowed at the Car Show as long as they are leashed, which is also the Town’s animal control requirements. No other animals, skateboards, hoverboards, bicycles or other types of equipment are allowed. We would like to avoid any possible accidents to these collectable cars and motorcycles. Entrance to the show for the participants will be from 2nd St. Look for the flags marking the route.

Whether a car participant or a spectator, come out and enjoy this 13th annual car extravaganza. This will also be the weekend for the Folk n’ Bluegrass Festival on Reservoir Hill, and there is plenty of time to enjoy both events.

The Chamber is excited to announce that after a COVID hiatus, the Adventure Package Raffle will be returning. A beautiful blue RZR and towing trailer will be the first placed prize, a Kona Lava Dome 29 mountain bike will be the second placed prize, and a collapsible SUP with all the accessories will be the third placed prize. Whereas previously the raffle winner won all three prizes, now there are three chances to win some fabulous outdoor gear – with the grand prize being the loaded RZR and towing trailer. Tickets will be on sale at the Car Show; however, the winning tickets will not be drawn until September 17 at 7pm at ColorFest’s Bands and Brews.
