Rick Holt

Rick holds degrees from St. Michaels College in Vermont with a B.S. in Business Administration, Seattle Pacific University with a B.S. in Biology and University of Alaska with a Masters in Educational Leadership.

Archuleta School District conducted a thorough search for the best possible Superintendent to lead our schools. Three finalists were selected from a large pool and were interviewed by community members, teachers, administrators, and the school board. Rick stood out as a fit for our schools and our community. Rick is excited to join our community in his role as the new district superintendent.

“I feel blessed to have the opportunity to support the work of the dedicated educators in this great community as my next leadership role,” Mr. Holt responded, when asked what the role of superintendent means to him. As the superintendent, my mission is to work collaboratively with all of you to develop schools that execute on the community’s strategic plan creating positive and safe learning experiences for our students. I look forward to getting to know all of you in the near future.”

Rick is an experienced leader who will bring a collaborative and participative leadership style and a depth of knowledge in innovative education to our tremendous district of dedicated teachers, administrators and staff as we seek to give students the best education possible. Join us in welcoming Rick and his wife Tiffany to our community.
