HMPRESENTLY: Basal Rot?

Aren’t they the darnedest things… those smartphone apps?

One of them I just found out about… you just aim the app at plants, and somehow — just by looking at them? — it figures out how they’re doing.

Right away, you find out if your plants are thriving, or if they have some health issues. A nasty virus, for instance. Or a fungus attacking them.

Judging by their names, fungi — some of them — might freak you out.

There’s the Mosaic Virus. The name, alone, gets you imagining some weird science fiction thing.

Basal rot, that’s another one of the plant ailments.  And Septoria.  And — good heavens! — anthracnose!

Oh… and corn smut, too…

Whew!

Has anyone come up with an app that can delve into politicians, like the app that delves into plants?

So you’d know what’s ailing our politicians?  Most especially, what’s causing some of them to have such sour dispositions?

Like with plants… something like smut, souring a politician’s frame of mind?  Or anthracnose?

Or even basal rot?
