WINGS Early Childhood Center still has a few openings for your little ones, ages 1-5 years old.
WINGS is the newest Early Childhood Center in Pagosa Springs, located off of Piedra Road behind Piedra Automotive. Our educational program is nature based, and our mission is to encourage kids to explore, experiment and discover themselves and the world through interacting with nature. They learn to share and be friends to others by watching nature unfold in front of them. Lots of outside play, and inside investigating, happens at WINGS.
The Board of Directors of WINGS, headed by our President Jonnae Benzel, is committed to providing Childcare and Pre-K education to all parents and will work with each family to help make child care affordable. We ask that each child come for at a minimum of 2 days a week, but there are slots for 3, 4 or 5 days available.
Our staff is directed by Becca Gartmann, a graduate of Ft. Lewis College in Durango. Becca has many years of experience as an early childhood teacher and is director qualified. She is an amazingly busy lady with time for the kids and to administer the center at the same time.
Research shows that investing in quality early childhood care for children ages 0-5 provides a return on investment of 13% per year for the life of the child. WINGS is a 501c(3) and therefore qualifies as Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit – Individuals and businesses can claim a Colorado income tax credit up to 50% of their total financial contribution to Wings. We encourage you to help support WINGS, as our little ones learn to soar. Please request form DR 1317 when you make your donation.
