HMPRESENTLY: From Really Bad to Something Better? Or…

From totally disturbing to totally exhilarating! In a matter of minutes! Because of what I’m reading in two articles, one after the other. One of the articles about a frightening climate change scenario in a science fiction novel, and the other article about generating water from air.

In the sci-fi novel, people seeking relief from sizzling-hot weather, jump into a lake, only to be parboiled, as the lake overheats. Thank heavens this is only fiction, at least for now, anyway.

But then, in the second article, in the aptly-named news site, ‘The Brighter Side of News’, I’m reading about a ‘solar hydropanel’ that “can pull 10 liters of drinking water per day out of the air.” So, there you have it! And just in the nick of time, because a third article features pictures of Lake Mead’s historically low water level.

So… wondering if we’re going from really bad to something better? Or, maybe, vice versa, I go out back at our place to cool down, so to speak, at our hot barbecue. And the wind’s blowing, just right, causing nearby trees to sway gracefully.

Nature may be a little screwed up, perhaps because of us humans, but who knows, for sure?

But I’ll tell you, that wind in the trees! That’s pure poetry in motion.
