Wolf Creek Ski Area Gets More Snow, Opens Three More Lifts

Wolf Creek Ski Area, the family-friendly ski mountain located atop Wolf Creek Pass between the towns of Pagosa Springs and South Fork, surprised many by becoming the first ski area in the US to open for the 2020-2021 season on October 28 with a base of about two feet of natural snow.

This past weekend, a new storm dropped about 16 inches, to provide a midway base of about 33 inches, and about 37 inches at the summit. The ski area added three more lifts and has now opened about 65% of the mountain.
