GOAL High School Excited to Start the 2020-2021 School Year

GOAL High School is excited to provide students a free online public education for the 2020-2021 school year. Despite educational uncertainty stemming from the pandemic, GOAL has been able to remain stable and consistent in serving students across the state of Colorado. GOAL is one of the premier models of blended-online learning and has been working to perfect their model over the last 13 years.

Pagosa Springs families have access to a GOAL drop-in center located at 105 Country Center Dr. Suite F, in the City Market Shopping Center. (1-877-776-4625 x027) These centers allow students tremendous flexibility in their schooling to assist them in balancing work and school, or to raise a child while continuing their education. Other students who want to begin taking college courses enjoy GOAL’s fine-tuned concurrent enrollment program involving partnerships with community colleges and universities. Likewise, GOAL’s Career & Technical Education program is thriving with pathways to career and workforce certificates.

A blended model carefully combines online curriculum and platforms with face-to-face tutoring and support. GOAL has been able to successfully strike this balance through careful screening and selection of online educational platforms and a network of 36 student drop-in centers located across the state. These centers are currently staffed at 50% daily for enrollment. All local, state, and national protocols for COVID-19 will be strictly adhered to.

Dr. Constance Jones, Chief Executive Officer, extends her support. “In these uncertain times, we cannot let the challenges we are facing with the COVID pandemic interfere with our students’ education. It is critically important for us to provide them with a quality education and ensure that they remain on track to receive their high school diplomas.”

GOAL High School, a Colorado Department of Education ‘performance-rated’ school, has been selected as one of the top 50 blended-online schools in the country by Study.com. In his book, The School Choice Road Map, author Andrew Campanella praises the school for its supportive, caring, and personalized attention to individual student needs.

GOAL’s designation as a Microsoft Showcase School makes it the only Alternative Education Campus (A.E.C) in the world to have received this recognition. Last year, GOAL was the state champion and national runner-up in its first year of establishing its -eSports program.

GOAL is a tuition-free public high school serving grades nine through twelve and students up to the age of twenty-on, with uniquely designed programs for over-aged and under-credited students. Between ten and twenty percent of enrolled students visit a student drop-in center at any one time, and sites are set up non-traditionally to allow for a very relaxed, yet business-like climate. Most importantly, during these times of educational uncertainty, GOAL’S drop-in centers are set up perfectly to allow for social distancing. Food and drinks are provided along with a very effective social-emotional support program.

Enrollment is open now through September 29 at this website… or by calling 1-877-PRO-GOAL (1-877-776-4625)
