St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church Annual Clothing Giveaway

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd, has been having a community clothing giveaway for over 20 years. This year, in spite of the COVID-19 virus that is playing havoc with all of our lives, we are going to have the Giveaway in our parking lot, instead of inside the Parish Hall.

We hope to gather as much clothing as possible for Men, Women, Children and Infants. We will begin collecting clothes on Saturday, September 19 at 9am in our church parking lot. We will continue to collect on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 21, 22 and 23 from 9am to 12pm. This is a very short window of time, but we are following guidelines for Covid safety suggested to us by the hospital’s CEO, and our Diocese.

We are asking for only winter clothes, including warm pants, shirts, socks, shoes and boots, snowsuits, gloves, hats and winter jackets. We will not be accepting any household linens, belts, purses, or intimate apparel. Our holding space is limited and we will be setting up everything on the morning of the event, which is Saturday, September 26 from 10 to 2pm. If you could group your donated items by men, women or children that would be a great help. Also please bring only clothes in good condition and free of pet hair. Remember if the condition is not good enough for you to wear, it really isn’t good enough for someone else to wear. St. Patrick’s has always been overwhelmed by the generosity of this Community and we hope that you will support us again in our endeavor to keep our citizens warm this winter.

The Giveaway on Saturday September 26, is open to all. We ask that you wear a mask, and please don’t come if you are feeling feverish, or are running a temperature. We will be taking temperatures and making sure everyone who comes to shop is wearing a mask. We will also be controlling the numbers of people who can shop at one time, but given the outside venue, there should be time for all to look and shop.

We look forward to receiving your donation of clothes and if the days of September 19, 21,22 and 23 from 9am to 12pm don’t work for you, please give our church office a call at 970-731-5801, so we can arrange another drop off time. Please do not leave any clothes at the church without first talking to someone in the office.

Thank you, Pagosa Springs, for your support.
