Yesterday, July 8, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) was working on an update to the main hub for public health information related to COVID-19, https://covid19.colorado.gov/.
Millions of Coloradans have visited this website in order to get critical information to protect themselves and prepare for outbreaks of COVID-19, get support when they are sick, and follow public health orders and guidelines that reduce the spread of the virus. The website changes will help people find the information they need more easily.
Changes will include a new menu organizational structure that will group pages together to better serve several important audiences, including:
- Coloradans experiencing symptoms: information on getting tested, using telehealth, and contact tracing
- Coloradans looking to protect themselves from getting sick. By learning how to reduce the spread, who is at higher risk and what can be done to protect them, and managing the risk of various activities, users can take control of their health and protect themselves from COVID-19
- Local public health agencies and health care providers
- Guidance for operating health care facilities, crisis standards of care, communication resources
- News releases, data, and blogs
The homepage will make it easier to find resources for those who are sick, the latest public health guidance, and the statewide case data. New landing pages will provide an easy-to-use hub of resources for getting help with maintaining physical, mental, and financial well-being during the pandemic.
The website will continue to offer a wide variety of resources in English with translations in Spanish, Vietnamese, simplified Chinese, Somali, Arabic, and Nepali.
