In connection with ‘Colorado Gives Day’ — which took place, as you may have noticed, on Tuesday, December 4 — one of Colorado’s watchdog organizations, the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition (CFOIC), sent out a request for donations to support their effort to ensure open public access to government records.
As citizens learn more about how their local, state and national governments operate, we can also learn how to keep those governments more accountable to the citizens’ wishes, and perhaps as citizens we can help our officials formulate sensible decisions.
