HMPRESENTLY: More Nose and Mouth Room, Plus Non-Slip Features

I’m getting this thing for face masks. I’m really noticing them. Not so much the variety of fabrics and vivid colors some of them come in… although I did see a really fashionable face mask worn by someone on TV. The colors were striking.

But what I’m noticing, far more, is the tailoring of face masks, I guess that’s the word for it. The way face masks are designed, so, hopefully, they’ll keep bad stuff from getting in noses and mouths.

Consciously, or subconsciously, I’m comparing face masks, one to another.

Like a face mask I spotted the other day. What tailoring! It seemed to grip just enough nose and chin to stay put. And how about those straps, nicely snug over the ears? I’m wondering where I can get a model like that, if I can order it from some face mask place.

It’s not like face masks have designer, brand labels. Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen any with labels. And even if some have labels, you probably wouldn’t be able to read them from a socially-safe distance. So, forget about labels.

From our front window, I see someone out on the street wearing a face mask that sort of sticks out. It’s kind of pointy, almost like the nose of a stealthily-designed military jet. From what I can tell, this particular model provides a little more nose and mouth room, without sacrificing non-slip features. Pretty cool…and functional.
