New Start Date for Highway 160 Reconstruction

The community spoke and the Highway 160 project team listened!

Pagosa’s business community expressed concern with the construction starting during spring break season. Prime contractor, WW Clyde took the request of postponing the start date by one week to their corporate officials. Ensuring all subcontractors could adjust schedules for the one week delay, the team will now break ground on Monday, March 24.

How the Team is Preparing

The Project Team has been busy with pre-construction meetings and activities over the past two weeks. Forums included:

  • Meetings with the prime contractor WW Clyde
  • Meetings with subcontractors
  • Meetings with utility companies
  • Meetings with first responders
  • Meetings with the Pagosa School District
  • Meetings with Town and County officials
  • Meetings and site visits with Business and property owners (still ongoing)
  • Open House for community members

Big Thanks!
CDOT and the project team express sincere thanks for helping us get to the starting point! We appreciate the candid conversations and feedback we have received.

This collaboration will allow enhancements to the Pagosa Springs downtown business district and provide critical upgrades to infrastructure (roadway and utilities) on Main Street.
