An Appeal from Your Local Non-Profit Radio Station

By Tami Graham

Today, as we look at what’s ahead for our families, our neighbors, our region, and our world, the need for the kind of news and information KSUT provides is more essential than ever.

Every day KSUT illuminates the spirit of our region by amplifying diverse voices, bringing people together through the power of trusted, in-depth journalism and inspiring music and culture. This is the essence of the public service that guides KSUT. As a nonprofit public radio service, KSUT depends on the support of members like you to safeguard this vital mission.

In a year that still has more questions ahead than answers, your action now will help KSUT do even more to keep the Four Corners region informed, engaged and, perhaps most importantly, connected.

With our commitment to regional news and public affairs, in addition to our affiliations with NPR, PRX, APM, NV1, and BBC, our costs have dramatically increased. Nonprofits and public media, just like small businesses and ordinary citizens, are struggling to meet inflationary increases.

Thanks to the generosity of our listeners like you, KSUT has continued to expand our service to the Four Corners region. We’ve increased our local and regional news coverage through partnerships with Rocky Mountain Community Radio, Mountain West News Bureau, and AP StoryShare. Our Tribal Media Center continues to innovate storytelling and multimedia training opportunities for Indigenous community members. Programs include Native Lens, Native Braids, and the Tribal Water Media Fellowship.

Thank you for considering a one-time or monthly sustaining gift to KSUT. If you are a current member, please consider increasing your monthly sustaining membership payments or making an additional one-time gift.

Tami Graham is Executive Director at KSUT.
