We gather together in joyful thanksgiving,
acclaiming creation, whose bounty we share;
both sorrow and gladness we find now in our living,
we sing a hymn of praise to the life that we bear.

As we lean into the shorter days of the season while also enjoying the bounty of the harvest, we hold space for gratitude this Sunday at the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. We invite you to come as Michael Demchak, lay minister, explores the practice of gratitude, not just for the season, but every day. Michael currently serves the Pagosa UU Fellowship as the Steering Committee President and has led many Earth-Centered rituals and services throughout the years.
Sunday, November 17 at 10:30am, we open the holiday season with looking inward to living gratefully and ponder what that means for us individually and in community with one another. Michael expresses it this way; “With the holiday season upon us and Thanksgiving approaching, it’s an appropriate time to consider what we are thankful for in our lives. This is a time to reflect upon the year and our own personal harvest, reviewing what we have in our lives, and giving thanks. Yet true gratitude extends beyond thankfulness. It is an amazing emotion that brings awareness and understanding, compassion, and love.” Join us as we continue to practice putting love at the center, which is part of the core values of this faith.
The Fellowship’s in-person services are normally the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 10:30am. Find us in Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak. Joining us through our offered Zoom services is also an option using the following meeting link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8991941305 – Visit our website www.pagosauu.org to find our current newsletter.
Offered on alternate Sundays, in-person Meditation Practice is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 9:00-10:30am. All are welcome. The sessions begin promptly, so kindly allow a few extra minutes to settle in. Although meditation instruction itself is always free a suggested donation of $10-$20 is greatly appreciated; and no one will be turned away.
