Learn About Your Rights Under Colorado’s Government Transparency Laws

By Lynn R. Frederick

How much transparency do our elected officials and appointed boards have to provide to the public?

Tomorrow’s August 16 meeting of the Archuleta Democratic Club has been changed to ‘Zoom only’ because of a problem with the venue.

The speaker will be Jeffrey Roberts, Executive Director of the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition.

Mr. Roberts worked in journalism and public policy before coming to the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition in July 2013. He was at The Denver Post from 1984-2007 as a reporter, assistant city editor and data journalism specialist on the Post’s projects team, and later spent four years at the University of Denver’s Center for Colorado’s Economic Future.

Roberts is also board president of the National Freedom of Information Coalition.

The meeting is open to all, and we encourage anyone concerned about government office holders making laws or decisions in secret to attend this meeting.

The Zoom meeting will start at 11:30am. To get the Zoom link, please go to archuletadems.org to click on the meeting link. Or click on the following link just prior to the meeting’s start:
