Construction on US Highway 160 will begin next Monday, March 24.
Thanks to input from our downtown businesses, Contractor WW Clyde delayed the start from March 17 to March 24, ensuring the busiest week of spring break remains uninterrupted. We’re grateful that the contractor listened and worked with us, showing they’re committed to being a good community partner as we move forward.
With spring break and construction starting soon, there won’t be a Cone Zone Update gathering for March. But don’t worry — we’ll keep you in the loop with all the important updates as the project progresses.
Help Us Collaborate to Support Businesses During Construction
The Cone Zone Care Program and the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce are excited to team up with you to identify creative ways to support our local businesses during the upcoming CDOT US Highway 160 Reconstruction Project. We know this project may bring some challenges, but we’re confident that, together, we can come up with fun and innovative solutions to help keep business activity thriving and our community strong.
While some solutions may come with minimal costs, we’re especially looking for actionable ideas that focus on collaboration and resourcefulness—rather than relying on direct financial support.
To get the ball rolling, we’re asking for your input through a quick online survey. Take the survey here.. Please respond to the survey prior to March 27.
After we gather your feedback, we’ll hold two structured work sessions to dig deeper into your ideas and brainstorm even more solutions. The dates for the work sessions are:
Session One: Monday, March 31, 5:30 – 7:00pm
Session Two: Tuesday, April 1, 11:30am – 1:00pm
Feel free to choose the session that works best for your schedule. Even if you can’t make it to a work session, please still complete the survey so we can include your ideas in the conversation. Please RSVP by March 29 to ensure we have enough space for everyone. Click here to RSVP.
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts and work together to make this project as smooth as possible for everyone!
