The Archuleta County Building Department announces a new procedural update regarding building permit applications. Applicants for new building permits are required to provide proof of payment for Pagosa Fire Protection District (PFPD) Impact Fees, or documentation confirming "no fee required," prior to submitting their application.
This adjustment is designed to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with PFPD regulations. To expedite the permit process, applicants are strongly urged to acquire the necessary documentation directly from the Pagosa Fire Protection District before visiting the Archuleta County Building Department.
“This new requirement will streamline the application process and prevent potential delays for our residents,” states Archuleta County Development Director Pam Flowers. “By ensuring all necessary PFPD documentation is in order before the building permit application is submitted, we can provide a more efficient service.”
Applicants should contact the Pagosa Fire Protection District to obtain the required proof of payment or ‘no fee required’ documentation. Once this documentation is secured, they may proceed to the Archuleta County Building Department, 1122 US HWY 84, Pagosa Springs, CO, for submission of their application.
