Professional actors, directors and crew from across the country have arrived in Pagosa Springs to begin rehearsing Thingamajig Theatre Company’s production of “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914,” the remarkable true story told in the words and songs of Allied and German soldiers.
Andrew Barratt Lewis, standing center, is director of the production and Dominic Girolami, front left, is music director.
This poignant and powerful show will be performed at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts December 13-28.
The story opens as German soldiers initiate an informal truce by emerging from the infamous trenches of the war singing “Stille Nacht.” For one extraordinary night, the shooting stops as the enemies enjoy camaraderie, music and peace in No Man’s Land.
Tickets for this miraculous holiday event are available at pagosacenter.org or 970-731-SHOW (7469).
