Creation Care Pagosa is pleased to present noted green building expert Paul Kriescher for our monthly program tonight, Thursday, November 21 at 5:30pm. All are welcome.
His program is entitled “A Journey to a Zero-Carbon Home: Come learn the why and what behind this for your own home.”
Creation Care meets in the fellowship hall at the Community United Methodist Church at 434 Lewis St.
We have a treat in store. Mr. Kriescher will be giving a sneak peek, VIP viewing of his latest documentary which will air on Rocky Mountain PBS in early 2025. After the screening, you’ll learn specific information and tools to retrofit your own home to make it more in harmony with nature. You’ll also learn how to share this information with family and friends who want to “do something” to help combat climate change and/or want to be become energy independent.
Paul Kriescher is the founder and CEO of Heart of a Building, a company dedicated to sharing the inspiring stories of people who design, finance and construct the buildings of tomorrow, today.
From its website:
“[We] seek to promote living, working, and playing in spaces that are cleaner, healthier, and better — for the environment and for our families. Join us in the heart-centered work of choosing innovation to help make the world a better place for our children, grandchildren, and many generations to come. Our stories showcase the state-of-the-art technical expertise behind energy-efficient buildings that are out-performing existing codes. We explore the heart-centered reasons — the ‘why’ — behind each project.”
Mr. Kriescher recently converted his company to a nonprofit business model. “It speaks better to our mission. We aren’t doing this for profits,” he said. “Plus, contributions to sustain our work are now fully tax deductible.”
Its advisory board includes environmental powerhouses such as Colorado State University’s Institute for the Built Environment.
Mr. Kriescher and his wife, Michelina, have been full-time residents of Pagosa Springs since 2022.
“We were drawn deeply to the feeling of home with the spiritual resonance with the area, and we have not been disappointed since moving
here,” he said. And, Mr. Kriescher loves the skiing and mountain biking.
