Archuleta County Seeking Citizen Input on New Strategic Plan

Archuleta County is pleased to announce a round of community feedback sessions, scheduled for October 8 and 9, as part of its ongoing strategic planning process.

A successful round of community engagements held in the spring had over 600 participants who provided valuable insight into the County’s current state and activities. Consultants from Civic* Possible will return next week to host strategic planning workshops. This time, they will engage the broader community to gather feedback on the high-level strategies developed by County staff during their internal planning session.

The community feedback sessions, hosted by Civic* Possible, will be held on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, October 8, 10:00am-12:00pm – Zoom Virtual Session (English)

Tuesday, October 8, 5:30 – 7:30pm – Pagosa Springs, County Commissioner Chambers (English), 398 Lewis Street, Pagosa Springs

Wednesday, October 9, 9:00-11:00am – Arboles; TARA Center (English),
333 Milton Lane, Arboles

Wednesday, October 9, 5:30 – 7:30pm – Pagosa Springs, County Commissioner Chambers (Spanish), 398 Lewis Street, Pagosa Springs

Community members are encouraged to attend any of the sessions which best fit their schedules. For those unable to attend in person, a brief online survey will also be available on October 8 and 9 at https://www.archuletacounty.org, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute.

This first-ever strategic plan will provide direction for County activities and guide elected officials and staff in decision-making over the next three years. With input from the community, County staff, and expert analysis, the plan will set measurable goals and objectives for Archuleta County as it aims to continuously improve its services and support for residents new and old, across the region.
