If you love dancing the two-step and joining a crowd in a lively line dance, you won’t want to miss the Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs’ ninth annual ‘Jewels and Jeans Barn Dance’ featuring the Jackson Mountain Ramblers. Based in Pagosa Springs, the Jackson Mountain Ramblers bring a joy-filled, energetic performance to the stage, and are known for catchy arrangements of popular hits from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, with a few originals thrown in the mix. Their motto is, “Playing music we love for people we love.”
We think you will love them, as well. So come find out for yourself at the barn dance on Saturday, October 12 from 7 to 10pm. The doors open at 6:30pm at the Archuleta County Extension building. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. You can purchase tickets at the Chamber, Exit Realty, or from your favorite Rotarian.
Chuckwagon dinner tickets are available for $15.
The Jackson Mountain Ramblers offer soaring vocals, rich harmonies, a virtuosic saxophone and soul- thumping bass, along with accordion and acoustic guitar. Add in tambourines, shakers, cajon, guiro, vibraslap, triangle and, of course, cowbell, and you have an evening of dancing and toe-tapping delight.
The Barn Dance always sells out, so buy your tickets soon, and help the Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs support key projects, including the Pagosa Outreach Connection, scholarships for local graduates, dictionaries for our third-graders, the Rotary Youth Exchange and community grants.
